Services...Laser Spider Vein
Treatment
Spider veins are fine, short, red lines that often appear on
the face and legs that look like a spider's web, or tree branches.
Usually, these spider veins are merely a cosmetic problem. They
do need to be evaluated by a dermatologist, because facial redness
can be a symptom of rosacea, lupus, or other medical problems.
The laser uses a powerful beam of light to gently heat the blood
vessel, closing it off and making it smaller or, in most cases,
making it disappear completely. The laser does not damage the
skin. The treatment is non-invasive- no needles, no cutting, no
bruises.
Why should I see a dermatologist about vein
treatment?
Dermatologists are recognized medical experts for skin, hair and
nails. Your dermatologist knows the science of skin; how it changes
with age, and how to keep it healthy. Even though veins may be
a cosmetic issue, a dermatologist understands the medical conditions
and diseases that can be associated with redness, and can help
you evaluate proper treatment.
