for the treatment of mild to moderate wrinkles around the eyes and
mouth caused by the effects of aging and chronic sun exposure. The
Candela Smoothbeam laser targets and remodels the damaged collagen
(the protein in the dermis beneath the skin) without removing the
outer layers of the skin. The laser treatment does require 4 sessions
to achieve results, but recovery time is hours instead of months
with other rejuvenating lasers. The Smoothbeam laser is used for
wrinkles not caused by repetitive facial muscle movements, which
are best treated by Botox.
