Dr. Anderson graduated Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Washington State University in 1979. He joined the United States Army in 1980, receiving his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Uniformed Services University in 1984. He completed his Dermatology training in 1991, and a surgical fellowship in 1994 at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio.

During his 16 years of military service he held numerous positions, including Chief of Ambulatory Care, Fort McPhearson, Georgia, and Chief of Medicine and Dermatology at Fort Hood, Texas. In addition to his dermatology background, he has significant primary care and emergency room experience.

He left the Army in 1996 for private practice in Tyler, Texas, where he teamed with Dr. Rossman to establish Dermatology Associates of Tyler.

Dr. Anderson is Board Certified in dermatology, and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Cutaneous Oncology and the American Society of Laser Medicine and Surgery. He is the author of 22 articles on various medical subjects and is a Governor-appointed member of the Texas State Medical Board. But most importantly to you as a patient, he is your doctor. The knowledge and experience he has gained previously will be applied personally on your behalf. And the passion that has fueled his success will be focused on your health and your life.
